I arrived on time at MOPS on time, but not on time to get everything set up. I popped the half-baked egg dish in the convection oven at church – 1 thing checked off my list. Then, other people’s kindness eased my load and showed me that God cares about everything in my life. Thank you to Andrea, Jacqui, Lindsay and Holly for helping me get the room ready to decorate cookies. Thank you also to the wonderful ladies who took a huge burden from me and baked sugar cookies – Jacqui, Kelly, and Jill. It was such a big help! The kindness didn’t end there – some of the other mentor moms and Joyce washed ALL the dishes and Harold helped me load up my car to go home.
This was a good reminder to me that I don’t need to carry stress around. God will take care of the details. Matt. 6:31-34 says, “Do not be anxious saying, ‘What shall we eat?’, ‘What shall we drink?’ or, ‘What shall we wear?’… Your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness and all these things will be added to you. Therefore, do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”
