In just a few short weeks, summer vacation will once again come to a close and Autumn events will be underway. For the first time, I have been preparing to send my child off to school! Can my little baby already be old enough for Kindergarten? It’s hard to believe. The first MOPS meeting will also come soon. Our first meeting is all planned—& we would love to see you there!
Our theme for the year is: “The Home Factor: Begin Here…Go There.” The theme for this year centers around the idea of “home.” Our homes are a place for our children to safely grow & learn; we also prepare our children to one day leave our homes & impact the world. As stated in the theme verse (John 14:!7), our bodies are a dwelling place for the Holy Spirit. Our speakers & topics will center around various areas of our homes—our physical & spiritual dwelling places. We have great speakers, a variety of creative activities & even some extra activities planned. We’d love to see you come!
Each MOPS meeting begins at 8:45 am. It would be a tremendous help if you could come on time & turn in your registration forms. The first MOPS meeting of the year is September 11. MOPS ends at 11:00 am.
The annual MOPS registration fee is $20. This includes your MOPS International Membership, a bi-monthly MOPS Magazine, a book and a variety of other things from MOPS International. Each meeting is $2. If this is your first time to MOPS, your first meeting if FREE! If finances are an issue, full and partial scholarships are available.
MOPS meets every 2nd and 4th Tuesday, September through May. We are located at Evangelical Bible Church- 1175 SE Howe St. in Dallas. Look for the pink & white “MOPS Meets Here” sign on the church reader board, pull into the parking lot and look for our friendly “grandpa’s.” They’ll help you with kids & doors and lead you in!
