Yesterday evening was the MOPS kick-off potluck and picnic at the Dallas City Park. If you weren't there, you missed really great food. It was a small turnout because of the rain, but those who came had a good time.
It really rained non-stop the entire evening. It was hard for the kids to be so close to the play equipment and not be able to play.
Some of the kids braved the August storm and got soaked.
Others played under the covered part and made up a game.
Our first MOPS meeting is September 9th come rain or shine. Don't worry, we are inside at Evangelical Bible Church. At the first meeting, we have a buffet breakfast for the moms while the children are well taken care of in the MOPPET program, full of kind volunteer workers. The morning starts at 8:45am and ends at 11am. If you have never attended MOPS, we would like you to come for free. Everyone else pays the regular low $2 per meeting fee for a morning that will encourage you with friendship, creative activity, and discussion. We hope to see you there!
